The DRWF United Through Diabetes event will be taking place at Chesford Grange conference hotel in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, on Saturday 16 September 2023.
The event will replace the charities educational days that had taken place previously in the south, the midlands, and in north of England. DRWF event organiser Lee Calladine explains, “The new event will be bigger than all of those combined and will have something for everyone, no matter what type of diabetes you live with, are a partner or parent, a healthcare professional or just want to learn more about living with diabetes. The Covid-19 lockdown and post pandemic recovery has proved to be a devastating and difficult time for many charities across the UK. By doing this we are able to use our valuable funds much better and bring together more resources, information, expertise and support under one roof for you.”
The event remains subsidised for everyone to attend, the charity only asks for a small contribution of £5 per person who comes. This covers the full day, all activities, a delegate bag, all-day refreshments, a healthy lunch of jacket potatoes with a buffet of hot and cold toppings and salads and the parking at the location is free.
