Type 1 diabetic Elise Quarrington has opened an online diabetes store from which she sells a selection of diabetes accessories). She tells us, “My main aim is to try and boost the confidence of people living with diabetes by adding some positivity and colour to the way we handle it. The website also contains my blog, in which I cover subjects such as mental health, or exercise. I am very keen to get out and support other people with diabetes.”
The site includes fabric patches, as well as badges, stickers, wristbands, bags and ‘sugar pots.’ These are small, handy containers that can carry up to five jelly babies. These come with mottos on the lid, stating things such as ‘Emergency Fuel’.
