Latest issue: CamAPS FX app in detail; other autoimmune conditions associated with Type 1 diabetes

There’s plenty of broad coverage in this issue, with a lengthy look at the food sector with a round up of news from suppliers, proprietors and chefs. As ever, there’s plenty of news including an overview of last month’s World Diabetes Day, the focus of which was the vital role of nurses in diabetes care.
There’s a longer look at the CamAPS FX app, described as the world’s first artificial pancreas closed loop app. Quite a concept, a pancreas on your phone!
We also take a look at other autoimmune conditions that can sometimes occur alongside Type 1 diabetes, hence the front cover. Splotchy skin, official name vitiligo, is one such co-factor.
There’s no issue in December, though we’re working on the next in our series of ‘deep dives’ into aspects of life with diabetes. The next one is called Loving the Bumps and is about insulin pumps and CGM. It joins the first one, Calling the Shots, about how best to inject.
Desang Diabetes Magazine is our free-to-receive digital journal (see below). We cover diabetes news, diabetes management equipment (diabetes ‘kit’ such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring equipment) and news about food suitable for a diabetic diet including a regular Making Carbs Count column. We just need your email address to subscribe you (it really is free, and you can easily unsubscribe should you wish to).
