JDRF online event 12 November 2020

Join the charity Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for a unique celebration to mark – two days early! – the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting – co-discoverer of insulin. World Diabetes Day is on Saturday 14 November; the JDRF event is on Thursday 12 November at 7pm. The charity wants to use the event to thank its loyal supporters, who throughout the most turbulent of times, have stayed loyal so it can continue its vital work. The event will look back at how much we’ve progressed with diabetes and look forward to the research momentum building. What are the current exciting advances in the field? How far could we be away from the next breakthrough or cure? There will also be inspirational stories from people affected by Type 1 and staff members working behind the scenes at JDRF.

The event is free to join. Head to JDRF UK Facebook or JDRF UK YouTube on Thursday 12 November at 7pm, where the event will be livestreamed.
