Designed to assist in the self-adjustment of basal insulin dosing, the JAZZ DoseCoach could help people who struggle with the complexities of basal insulin management and maintaining desired blood glucose levels.
The device provides an individualised suggested basal insulin dose through a feature called Dose Helper. Once your HCP has determined the starting dose, the Dose Helper suggests gradual adjustments (every three days) to your daily insulin dose until your fasting blood glucose readings are within your target range.
Dose Helper calculates dose adjustments using your most recent fasting blood glucose readings and insulin doses. The JAZZ DoseCoach also incorporates built-in safety and verification rules for the Dose Helper function. Clinically validated through the Automatix study, JAZZ DoseCoach is proven to reduce HbA1c.
