JDRF is hosting two virtual information events to support people with Type 1 diabetes during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The first, this Saturday, supports young people newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. On average, nine children under the age of 15 are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes every day, adding to the 400,000 adults and children already living with the condition in the UK.
Dealing with isolation is hard for everyone in these challenging times, but for those living with a new life of constant finger pricks and daily insulin injections can be overwhelming. Living Well with Type 1 Diabetes, is designed to ensure everyone can find all the information and support they need while connecting with others with Type 1.
Managing Type 1 Now on 28 April will look at progress in type 1 diabetes research and hear from experts talking about managing type 1 in these extraordinary times. There is also an opportunity to virtually meet other families and individuals affected by the condition.
