LATEST ISSUE: New ‘artificial pancreas’ app (CamAPS FX); 10 years of Carbs & Cals; suggestions for dealing with lockdown

In these strange times, some of us are having to keep control of our diabetes while in isolation. We hope this issue brings you some good news, ideas, features, food info as well as some fun. There’s a lot to read, but maybe we have more time on our hands to do so! We do have a little bit about the virus but otherwise there’s lots of short features on things like a call for better footcare for people with diabetes, a look at the new ‘artificial pancreas’ app (CamAPS FX) from Dr Roman Hovorka at Cambridge University Hospitals Trust as backed by JDRF. We’ll bring you more on that in a future issue. In this one find out about the thinking behind sugarBEAT, the soon-to-launch non-invasive sensor for people with Type 2 diabetes, and catch up with Chris Cheyette and Yello Balolia who, ten years ago this month, brought us the brilliantly titled Carbs & Cals series. Stay home, stay safe, keep well.
