Last year, we interviewed semi-pro tennis player Josh Golding and he has been in touch to talk to use about his progress with tennis and diabetes.
He told us, “I have now been involved with a local radio station in Milton Keynes, MKFM, helping to spread awareness about diabetes and hopefully inspiring other people to pick up a tennis racket or go to the gym. I’m continuing my journey with tennis as a career to gain a professional ranking. I’m also taking part in a Skydive in June to raise money for Diabetes UK.
“I’m due to coach a seven-week Coaching Course together with Inclusive Tennis MK – run by Emma Maitland and Jason Fairhurst – aimed specifically for beginners who have diabetes. The course will run from 15 June to 27 July at Newport Pagnell Tennis Club. In week one kids and parents can get involved with fun games and skills, then coaching for the kids follows for the next 6 weeks where they will learn a new skill each week.”
