Latest issue, a look back at fundraising for diabetes in 2017

What some of you have been up to raise awareness of diabetes, and raising funds for charities such as Diabetes UK, JDRF and IDDT. Plus, lots and lots of food news, such as a general report on food news including the launch of National Geographic Food. Then there’s the question of whether or not you need to ‘eat clean’ (good news: you don’t), and the nation shows confusion about some items of world food. The Japanese staple Ramen (a meat or fish broth) being thought by 24% of those polled as being a religious festival, and another 13% thinking it was an Egyptian Pharaoh, possibly confusing the name with Rameses. Read more if you want to know what those asked thought falafal was, or how many coffee shops there are in Britain and what the nation’s fave coffee brew is. There’s also some lovely spicy recipes from Chef Anjula Devi, and in Making Carbs Count we look at winter fave celeriac. Enjoy, and all the best for a happy, healthy New Year!
