Diabetes UK and Tefal Actifry partnership raises money and awareness

A new partnership between Diabetes UK and Tefal Actifry aims to raising money to help people affected by diabetes. Since June, Diabetes UK is receiving a 5% donation from selected Tefal Actifrys purchased from www.HomeandCook.co.uk when using a unique code available to Diabetes UK’s members. The Tefal ActiFry is the UK’s leading low-fat fryer brand, helping to make healthier meals with just one spoonful of oil. Money saving offers for a new Tefal Actifry purchased from www.HomeandCook.co.uk will be available exclusively to Diabetes UK members and supporters during June, July and September.

Diabetes UK’s Head of Prevention, Helen Dickens, said: “Eating a healthy, balanced diet is an essential element of managing all types of diabetes. It is also the best way of lowering your risk of developing Type 2 if you do not have diabetes. By bringing people and organisations together, such as this partnership with Tefal Actifry, we can do more to support people living with diabetes, prevent Type 2 diabetes, make research breakthroughs, and ultimately find a cure.”

Tefal Actify’s Product Manager, Clementine Duvivier said: “The ActiFry helps prepare delicious meals with just one spoonful of oil for a whole kilogram of food. This means your favourite meals from curry to stir-fry could be healthier cooked in the ActiFry. It’s important for Tefal to promote a healthy lifestyle for our customers whilst  they enjoy food they love, which is why we’re delighted to be working with Diabetes UK.”

The funds raised with Tefal Actifry will go towards Diabetes UK’s vital work helping people with diabetes manage the condition, as well as improving the quality of care available to them, and helping to prevent Type 2 diabetes.
