Diabetes Wellness Day South — taking place on 22 June 2013 — is an educational day for people with diabetes, now in its fifth year. This year, working with the specialist diabetes teams from Solent NHS Trust and Southampton University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and wider Hampshire NHS, there will be some completely new subjects. You can go to talks on diabetes and the importance of exercise; the diabetes check list you and your doctor should cover at your diabetes check ups; exercising safely; how to use social media as a diabetes management tool and ‘Ask the Panel’ session at the end of the day. There will also be a breakout session for younger people with Type 1 Diabetes. The exhibition area is always popular too.
