Keep up with research via new App

Glycosmedia http://www.glycosmedia.com/ is based in the UK and run a website and free digital weekly diabetes news service that lists the latest research, reports and news in diabetes. The service is aimed at healthcare professionals and patients who want keep informed about diabetes. The editorial team of Glycosmedia are medically trained.

The idea is that the busy professional does not have to spend trawling through the plethora of information available to select the pertinent material.  The editorial team at Glycosmedia do this for them and broadcast the information immediately on the App and also on Twitter. All of the references carried in the news listing are linked to the original sources.

The information on the home screen of the App is presented by date, or can be browsed by category via another screen. Interesting articles can also be saved to the users “Favorites” folder for later study. In addition, the original articles can be shared with colleagues either by email or via Twitter. All of these functions are available directly from the App and facilitates the free flow of pertinent clinical and research information.

It can be downloaded free from iTunes. Currently the App for iPhone and iPad is supported by Abbott, Diabetology, and Lilly.
