New — skinny — pump hits US market

Tandem Diabetes Care has introduced the first touch screen insulin pump, the t:slim Insulin Pump. It’s the only insulin pump with a touch screen approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
It has the footprint of a credit card, the look of a smart phone, and is up to 25% slimmer than other 300-unit pumps. There’s no complex menu or excessive button pressing, the colour touch screen
is the window to an easy-to-use interface.

Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. is a privately held company dedicated to advancing the management of diabetes through novel technologies.
