Latest issue: Nothing beats a blood test (sometimes), plus an update on diabetes medications

The purpose of this magazine is to bring news and information to people living with, or caring for, people with diabetes, with a particular emphasis on diabetes technology. While CGM sensors are a mini revolution in diabetes care, the fact is that old-fangled blood tests are here to stay. With luck more of us will get access to CGM technology, but in the meantime there’s a wide choice of blood glucose systems, so much that in this issue we have Part 1 of a feature on the relevance of ‘finger stick’ blood tests.
Plus, there’s loads more with an update on new diabetes meds (for Type 1 and 2s), Type 1 diabetic Daniel Blumer’s smartphone scales, and a look at a new online programme of module for educating about Flash Glucose Monitoring (with more to come on other diabetes technologies).
Then there’s a couple of pages on soon-to-arrive connected insulin pens. Oh, and Part 1 of another food story on summer drinks called What Sup? (See what we did there?). Enjoy!

Desang Diabetes Magazine is our free-to-receive digital journal (see below). We cover diabetes news, diabetes management equipment (diabetes ‘kit’ such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring equipment) and news about food suitable for a diabetic diet including a regular Making Carbs Count column. We just need your email address to subscribe you (it really is free, and you can easily unsubscribe should you wish to).
