Welcome to the latest issue of our online magazine. As well as the usual diabetes news and loads of stuff on foodie things, our feature looks at two major initiatives being undertaken by Diabetes UK. One looks at Type 2 diabetes and involves close work with the NHS up and down the country, the other is a large investment in research for a vaccine for Type 1 diabetes which could be a cure as well as a prevention. The research is being funded to the tune of more than £4m donated between Diabetes UK, JDRF UK and Tescos. It’s big stuff… bravo!
