JDRF’s flagship lobbying and campaigning event will be on 5 March 2014, in the Houses of Parliament.
With your help they want to:
• Raise awareness of type 1 diabetes
• Push type 1 diabetes up the political agenda
• Ask the Government to prioritise investment in type 1 diabetes medical research.
Type 1 Parliament 2014 will mark the culmination of six months of campaigning by JDRF supporters across the UK and the charity is looking for participants.
How can you get involved?
There are lots of things you can do to help campaign for type 1 diabetes. JDRF is looking for children and adults with type 1 to come along to Westminster on the day and make some noise about the condition. If you think you’ve got what it takes to campaign on behalf of the 400,000 people in the UK with type 1 diabetes then click here to find out more.
If you can’t attend on the day, don’t worry you can still get involved by contacting your local MP. Whatever you choose to do, please help JDRF make some noise about type 1 diabetes.
