Spelt food brand Sharpham Park has joined up with Bowel Cancer UK to help spread the message of the importance
of a high fibre diet in the fight against bowel cancer. Spelt is a great source of fibre, and the partnership has many
exciting actions planned through to National Bowel Cancer Awareness Month in April 2013. The first stage will see the Bowel Cancer UK logo appear on the newly re-packaged Sharpham Park Spelt range, available nationwide. The Sharpham Park Organic Spelt Flour and Pearled Spelt also carry high fibre recipe suggestions on the packaging, such as Green Vegetable Spelt Risotto, Spelt Vegetable Pasty and Spelt Banana Loaf, helping you maintain a healthy and tasty fibre intake without even noticing. Spelt is also an excellent low GI grain so it’s great for diabetics
in more ways than one as low GI means a low release of energy, keeping blood sugars stable.
