Holidays to treat T2 diabetes

A new retreat in Spain is offering holidays catering for people with diabetes, with a view to helping them come off medications. As many as 90% of diabetic visitors to the pioneering Obsidian Retreat say they have either greatly reduced or stopped taking prescribed medication, including insulin and Metformin, following their stay.

Andy and Carol West have opened the Obsidian Retreat in Alicante to offer UK clients a year-round facility for their innovative health management programme. They combine tried and tested theories and practices from the US and Europe and tailor them to each visitor. In a visit, you can expect to be fed on a diet of vegan, plant-based and raw (living) food and juices, a regime of light exercise, stress relief through yoga, meditation, hypnotherapy and longer-term change management through education and life coaching.
